The 18th Turkey-World Trade Bridge summit in Istanbul will host 2,800 thousand businessmen from 130 countries, in cooperation with the Turkish Confederation of Businessmen and Industrialists (TUSKON) and Turkish Economy Ministry and sponsorship of Turkish Exporters’ Assembly (TIM).
The 2013 Turkey-World Trade Bridge summit covering furniture and related machineries will be held on June 19 – 20 at Istanbul Fair Center (CNR Expo), with an expected number of 20 thousand bilateral business meetings.
Cape Verde, the Seychelles, Guinea Bissau, Botswana and Djibouti from Africa as well as Venezuela and Panama from Latin America will attend the summit for the first time.
Speaking at the summit, Head of TUSKON Rizanur Meral stated that the trade bridges are aimed to contribute to establishment of commercial and investment relations between Turkish and foreign businessmen.
“Our efforts towards enabling businessmen to play an active role in a globalizing world and providing them new opportunities have turned into giant organizations, yielding a huge trade volume,” he said.
Thanks to these trade summits, Meral noted, TUSKON made significant investments in countries especially in Africa in areas of agriculture, livestock, food, mining, construction, furniture, plastics, energy, iron&steel.
