China will be the Country of Honor at the 32nd International Istanbul Book Fair between Nov. 2 and 10, organizers said Thursday.

The announcement was made by Zhang Jichen, executive vice president of China National Publications Import and Export Corporation and TUYAP Culture Fairs General Coordinator Deniz Kavukcuoglu at a press conference in Istanbul.

Zhang said that more than 100 Chinese publishers will participate the book fair, which is held by TUYAP Fairs and the Publishers Association of Turkey, as Chinese publishing industry will meet with their Turkish counterparts to explore business opportunities.

Events organized by Chinese publishing industry include calligraphy workshops, interviews, panel discussions, professional meetings and exhibitions, he said.

The national pavilion of China, to be set up in the international hall, will include almost 100 publishers from China focusing on children and youth literature, digital publishing, animation, games and translated Chinese literature.

More than 6,000 books and 10,000 publications will be available at the Chinese booth, according to Zhang.
